"I plan to create choreography that reflects the energy and emotion of
Angela’s paintings and Jesse’s music. Through movement, I hope to
take the viewers and the artists on a journey through rediscovery,
rebirth, and reawakening. Angela’s paintings will serve as teachers to
the dancers emerging from the boat, guiding them to understand their
new world and bodies and instructing them on how to use their agency
and “voices.” Jesse’s music will serve as the lifeforce from which the
dancers build their energy."
